Frequently Asked Questions
Can you come to my party or event and draw my guests?
Absolutely! First we have to see if I’m available and check the calendar. If the date is clear then I’ll need a $25 non-refundable deposit via Venmo or Cash App to get you on the books.
How much does it cost?
There will be an hourly rate which will vary based on your location. Two hour minimum in all areas. When you call, text or email we’ll get all the details figured out and go from there.
Where are you located?
Baton Rouge, Louisiana, home of the tigers, jaguars and violent crime. I’m pretty flexible on travel so if you’re in the general vicinity of South Louisiana and even parts of Mississippi we can probably work it out. Anywhere else up north you might get a yes, a no or even a hell no, but it doesn’t hurt to ask.
How do I pay you?
Okay this is a touchy one. After the deposit I ask that the balance be paid in full via Venmo or Cash App at least 24-72 hours in advance of your event (1-3 days for you non-math types). Now I know what you’re thinking, “I’m old and I don’t have Venmo or I’m just a worker bee for a big company who only pays in checks or I’m a shady mafia boss that only deals in cash”. It’s cool, let’s talk about it and we’ll work it out.
What do I need to provide?
Nothing really, unless you want to. I travel with a pop-up banner, four chairs and an easel. All I ask for is a fair amount of space and some decent light. If lighting is an issue or you’re expecting a dark venue, no worries, I have a ring light with an extension cord but I will need a power source. If you want to provide a table and chairs I’ll be happy to work with what you have.
What kind of drawings do you offer?
I use 8.5x11 card stock with an occasional 11x14 depending on the amount of people in the group. I draw with black and white markers in various sizes. Each drawing comes with a protective plastic sleeve.
How long does it take?
Speed is king. My goal is to produce as many drawings as possible for as many people as possible in a short amount of time. It typically takes about 2-4 minutes per person in standard attire. If you're dressed for the red carpet and got a lot going on it could take a bit longer.
How many people can you do in an hour?
I don’t like to answer that question with a hard number and here’s why. This is a fairly intimate and personable process. I like to talk to people, get their names and have a few laughs. The interaction is what makes it enjoyable and that cuts into the “how many in an hour” time frame. However, I do keep the line moving pretty steady and I will shut my line down when cutoff time is approaching, but I try to include anyone currently waiting.

If you’re asking because you’re concerned about the number of guests and whether or not they will all be included, I can tell you this. In a large crowd, corporate event, big wedding etc., it’s my experience that about a third of the crowd will be into it. It’s not an exact science but it’s what I’ve seen to be the average over the years.

Hope this helps with the basics. Drop me a line, I’d love to help y’all out!
